How to have a cheeky glo up in your twenties.
The phrase “glow up” has taken social media by storm over the past few years. From unbelievable physical transformations, to simply just maturing and overcoming puberty, it’s clear that one thing is for certain.. a true glow up of the mind and body always stems from leading a healthier lifestyle.
There is a misconception that you can only ‘glow up’ in your teenage years but that is far from the truth. It is never too late for a glow up. It is a lifelong process of becoming the best version of yourself and continuously building your self-confidence.
The alternative spelling, “glo” is a slang term that specifically describes a person who has such a high level of confidence that it cannot be eliminated by any source of negativity. This Glo is something we should all be aiming to achieve in our everyday lives.
So, how can we have a cheeky glo up in our 20s?
5 steps to glo up!
1. STOP FOCUSING ON OTHER PEOPLE’S SUCCESSES
I know that is much easier said than done when you are constantly bombarded with life updates of your mum’s friend’s cousin and your year 9 crush BUT it is a must.
Be conscious of how much time you are spending scrolling and looking at other people. That is time you could spend on yourself. There is no timeline, it’s simply you vs. you.
2. KEEP INVESTING IN YOUR KNOWLEDGE
Take time to learn new skills or information on a weekly basis. Whether it’s listening to podcasts whilst you walk or drive, commencing a new online course or reading a book, there is always more to learn.
Not only does it keep your mind healthy but learning allows you to feel a sense of achievement as you develop your knowledge in new areas.
3. SKINCARE RITUAL
